Founded in 1987 as a benefit for Nashville CARES, Artrageous has raised more than $2 million for the support of AIDS education and services in Middle Tennessee.  A group of Nashville's most prominent gallery owners began the event as a response to the AIDS epidemic and its devastating impact on the arts community.
 
 
In recent years, Artrageous has been staged entirely by the volunteers of Artrageous, Inc., a not-for-profit, tax-exempt corporation.

Attracting a stunning mix of glamorous partygoers from across the nation, Artrageous has attained near-legendary status as Nashville's largest indoor charity event.

1997, Artrageous was given the Highest Possible Rankings from Events Report Newsletter, which reviews charity fundraisers nationwide.

Each year Artrageous patrons embark on a bus tour of Nashville's prominent art galleries. The gallery's not only have excellent art in abundance for the evening, but also food and drink from some of Nashville's finest restaurants.
